Christmas Fun!

Today we finally made it in the hills to go sledding and it was so fun i think we will go again tomarrow!  Ayden has always loved it but this year is the first year Gavin has liked it, we couldnt keep him of the sled this time!  It more like sledding on ice than snow but they loved it all the same even when they crashed and fell of off the sled! 

         Seth got a new bow for hunting so we went up to target practice too, but with the old bow since the new one isnt here yet, but im excited because the old one is mine now, if i can shoot the thing!  i had to work tonight and when i got home all the boys could talk about was getting a bow an arrow like daddy so they could shoot turkeys and daddy deer.  by the way, the only thing they want ot watch now is the outdoor channel hunting shows, oh my, it has begun already!  Im so out numbered,(wouldnt want it any other way) good thing i like to hunt too!

Merry Christmas!  We had the greatest christmas!  Chritmas eve seth surprised the boys and I with a new lab puppy!  he is so cute, his name is Snow buddy!lol  The boys named him after the snow buddies movie,   too cute!  We went to Aunty Kayla and Uncle Jasons house and had desert and the boys exchanged presents!  Then we had a few martinis and played some games!  It was so much fun and the kids had the best chritmas eve ever!  Then we came home and put the boys to bed and got ready for christmas morning.  We got up early and did stockings and opened presents and my mom and grandma came over!  What a haul the boys made, oh my!!!! yummy prime rib for dinner and a good christmas movie, Chritmas Vacation, we watch it every year!

On Monday Dec. 21, Ayden's preschool had thier Christmas party and it was so perfect!  It was all of the classes together so my boys were very excited because their buddies Konner and Chase were there too.  All of the class got to make christmas cookies and do some christmas crafts and all of the kids were so good.  After all the crafts were done they all got on stage and sang about six songs and they all had little dances to them, Mrs. MacRae is so wonderful!  Ayden did so great with all of his songs and stayed up there right where he was supposed to be and so did Konner!  They were too cute and it was so precious, i video taped it all of course and saved Aydens little reindeer antlers.  I  only wish Seth could have been there, he had to work:( thank goodness for video cameras and pictures and thank goodness for Kayla so we could take turns helping the boys.  Oh how they grow up so fast and how wonderful every little bit of it is!  i am such a proud mama!:)  Merry Christmas Everyone!

The Holiday Season

This is by far my most favorite time of the year!  I am so very blessed  to have my wonderful husband and two beautiful children.  We are so thankful for our families and our precious friends, we love you all! 
 

Tis the season!  We are ready for Christmas and the boys' birthdays.  We have all of shopping done for both since the boys' birthdays are both in january, we always do all of our shopping on black friday! We also had the pleasure of seeing Santa Clause and the boys got thier pictures taking with out shedding one tear, much better than last year, yeah!   We also have our outside lights up and our tree.  The kids are so excited they cant hardly stand it and ask me everyday if it is christmas yet, i love it so much!  We are stayingn home this year for christmas with my mom and grandma and having christmas eve with our best friends and their boys. 

Besides getting ready for the holidays we have been busy winterizing everything going up in hills to play in the snow and collect pine cones for bird feeders. 

Ayden is doing great in school and learning how to read.  He brought home a book from school yesterday and read it to me, i cant believe it!  They grow up so fast and I love every minute of it!  Gavin is already recognizing most of his letters and what they stand for thanks to his big brothers help!  i have to say i am a strong believer in preschool now, i love "I know i can preschool"!

What have we been upto lately?  Well, Seth has been super busy at work driving in the snow but he totally loves it!  His route is the pass and Cle Elum so he has seen alot more snow than we have.  The boys were so excited for the little bit of snow that we got here and we havent made up on the hills yet but are planning on going in the next couple of day, Seth has a week of vacation this week, i love it!   He took Ayden to school in the jeep today and Ayden was so excited, i asked if he wanted me to pick him up and he said no mom, DADDY!  So very cute!  I also just hosted a party for Kayla for At Home America and we had so much fun!  Thank you so much to my bestie, i love ya and you did such a good job with your presentaion!  We are trying to get ready for the holidays and we are all very excited!  The kids made their Santa lists and Kayla and I have made our shopping map out for black friday, watch out here we come!!!  We also added another new member to our family recently, i know like we need another pet, but he needed a home!  His name is Garfield and he is an orange, very fat cat!  We love him and he is one of the family already!  Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanks giving, we are staying home and eating good food with football and our best friends the Carlsons!  Happy Holidays and happy shopping! :)

Halloween!:)

Halloween was wonderful! Ayden had a Halloween party at school and got to wear his costume and so Gavin had to wear his too! They were both spiders and too cute!
Halloween night we went trick or treating with Kayla and her boys so we had all five boys out and Kayla and Jason and Seth and I! We all had a blast and had lots of candy! After we went trick or treating we went and got the kids personal pizzas at papa murphys and went back to Kayla's house and had dinner and let the kids play while we vistited. It was so much fun! Thank you Jason and Kayla, we love you guys so much!

Fall Time!

I can't believe that summer is gone already, but fall is my favorite so ya!!We have been enjoying our last hot days trying to finish up all of our outside projects, seth put a new front porch on the house but decided he wanted to add on to the porch so we are still working on that but he does such a good job and it looks great! We also put in a new fire pit and have been roasting lots of marshmellows when the wind allows us to. We had a blast a rodeo this year and made it through the whole thing on sunday for the first time since we had the boys,even though it rained and the wind blew and it hailed on us! The boys were troopers and loved every minute of it! Ayden got to ride the roller coaster for the first time and i was little worried it would scare him but of course not, he put his hands in the air and laughed the whole time! Gavin loved the animal barns and was a little upset that he wasnt big enough to ride with big brother, next year watch out!! Seths mom and her boyfriend came and stayed with us for a week and we had so much fun and they got to go to the fair with us, it was so nice to see them!
I cant believe ayden is in his second year of preschool! He goes three days a week this year and loves it, he asks me everyday if his school is back! I am so glad that he likes it so much and i am so proud of both of my boys!! Gavin misses his big brother when he is at school but likes his mommy time and loves that he gets to pick the cartoon!:) Seth and i good and just celebrated out seven year wedding anniversary, thanks honey i love you!

Stay-cation in Seattle

This last weekend Seth and I took the boys to Seattle and stayed a couple of days! The city pass is the coolist thing ever! We went to the seattle aquarium, pike place market, a cruise tour of elliott bay, the music and science fiction museum and the space needle all on saturday what a day! we ate the best food down on the pier and the boys were sooo good even with how tired they had to be! On Sunday we went to the pacific science center and then to the woodland park zoo and the city pass included all of these things, its so great you dont have to wait in line for anything! i highly recommend it! We stayed in a fancy hotel because we were only staying for one night so why not, it was the boys first stay in a hotel since we had both of them and they loved it especially all of the elevator rides but it was a chore keeping them out of the mini bar, where a snickers bar cost five dollars!! Seth and i on the other hand have had our fill of elevator rides for at least another year or so, we had to take elvators to do everything even to ride the train! It was the best mini vacation and a good trial for the kids who proved to travel very well! What a perfect weekend! i am so blessed and thankful for my house of boys! Hope you all had a good one!

Whats new with us

so, what's new with us? I have been really bad about updating this, but we have been having a really great summer! we just had my nephew James for a whole week and we had sooo much fun! For those of you who know me well, little James is now thirteen and not soo little anymore! My boys had so much fun with thier "tousin" as my boys would say, and we miss him already! We are planning a trip to Vegas in december and James is going with us and i can't wait!
This week we also got to welcome Riley Jordan Carlson to the world and he is precious, congratulations Jason and Kayla we love you all so much and are so lucky to have you all in our lives:)
This weekend we had some old friends come over and we had so much fun, i actually had a few drinks and we stayed up playing the wii until two thirty in the morning which is rare for us, the boys even got stay up until midnight and they thought that was just the greatest! Thank you Josh and Katie we had a blast! On Saturday we went to the car show in kittitas and then the burn out contest which was so fun! i know im in trouble when the kids get older because all they love are jeeps, trucks and loud exhaust!(so much like their daddy, but that's a good thing) We got all of our school shopping done and seth rhino lined his Jeep, pretty great weekend!

So this week we were missing Seth so much! He had to go to Kirkland on Sunday and stay for a week for his new jobs safety training, he's working at waste management now and we are so proud of him! He still has his septic company but is going to do both, thank you seth for working so hard for your family! We love you! So anyways since daddy is gone it was just us and my mom and so we planeted new flowers and did some shopping, sorry seth, and we put up a new fence for my horse so he could be turned out in the pasture. My mom and i were quite proud that we put up a fence all by our selves and with the help of Ayden and Gavin! Seth will be back today and we are so excited to see him, this is the longest that the boys have ever been away from thier daddy. Thank you mom for all your help while he was gone and we had so much grandma we love you!:)

Haily came out and took some family photos a couple of weeks ago and she brought them to me today! Here's a a few for everyone to see! Thank you so much Hailey for taking our family pictures! They are so beautiful!

Fourth of July Weekend

Happy Fourth of July! We had a really good weekend, we stayed home most of the time because i was on call at work but it was really great! On friday we went up Manashtash and took my mom with, it was her first time up, i cant believe she had never been up there! We went for a hike and Ayden caught three butterflies with his bare hands, it was soo wierd, and all of them made it he didnt squish any:) On the fourth my mom cooked us a huge dinner and because it was so hot we drained the hot tob and put in cold water and used it as pool( the kids thougth that was a wonderful idea) We did some of own fire works and then we all sat out in the yard ans watched the fireworks show, we have the perfect view from our yard! The boys now would like to have fireworks everynight!:)

Fathers day weekend!

My goodness weekends go by fast, there's just never enough time! Saturday morning we woke up to one of the huge trees in the driveway blocking the driveway, so we spent all day cuttung up a tree, probably not what seth was wanting to do first thing on his day off! It was sort of fun though the kids loved it, helping dad, and dragging branches into a huge pile! On Sunday, for fathers, day we just wanted to relax! We went and got breakfast for Seth and did a little shopping for his Jeep, went to lunch and got piza for dinner! i think he had a good day! We were all exhausted after the day of tree trimming so a simple day of fun was nice! The boys and i are so blessed to have Seth in our lives. We had the perfect day for the perfect father and husband, thank you Seth, we love you! p.s. new pictures coming soon we are having them tomarrow, so excited!

Our week

We had a great week!! we have been enjoying the sun with a trip to the park for playtime and mcdonalds with grandma and great grandma and went to cle elum on Friday to Suncadia for a hike, how beautiful! We finished all of yard work finally and we are done! Seth put in the most beautiful garden around the deck, he's such a good guy!I'm so lucky:) Seth had to work on saturday so the kids and i went to the farmers market and walked down town( we love the balloon guy!) Yesterday we had Konner and Chase while Kayla was at the doctors for Riley Jordan( who is coming very soon!) we had a great time playing! Well, that's about all. Hopefully we are instore for another beautiful week.

our weekend

what a crazy weekend!! we did sooo much yard work on friday and i think we pretty much have it all done, finally, maybe a few more flowers and we still need to put the windows in seths shop but other than that we are doen with all of our projects. Yesterday was too windy to do a a whole lot outside and today we had a baby shower for Kayla! I think it went pretty well. The boys were so good to stay with their daddy and help mommy while all the guests were here. Thank god for my husband who helped me make the sandwiches and srawberries and my mom and grandma helped with everything! if it wasnt for them we would not have been ready, i had to go to work this morning so i needed all the help i could get!! Anyways, i think it was a success!!!Afterwords we played outside and relaxed, the kids didnt take a nap so they were asleep by seven thirty!! we were going to go on a horse ride but the huge rain storm put a stop to that so we'll try again tomarrow. It was a good weekend!:)

June 09

Okay so this new to new to me but i thought that i would try it, i guess it is a good way for everyone to keep up with us as long as i am good about kepping up with the blog!:) So May was very crrazy at our house with my parents buying the property across teh pasture from us, very exciting, and me starting my own business and going back part time at the vet hospital. The kids really enjoy the daddy time and i think it is good for them! Seth loves their time alone too, just to do boy stuff! i am enjoying working a the little bit that i do and it will give us a vacatiuon fund that i am excited to use soon! Ayden also just finished his first bit of preschool and will be returning next year. He loves it so much and has totally blossomed into this self sufficiant little boy, wich is so fun to watch but also sad because he isnt a baby anymore! Gavin has totally skipped the baby phase because he likes to d everything Ayden does and loves his mommy and me time when ayden is at school. We are haveing a great summer and have been making improvements on our home every weekend. Seth has been working on his jeep alot and we got to taki it up in the hills memorial weekend and that of course is the boys favorite thing to do...take the jeep in the hills, they are their fathers sons:) It is very nice to have my parents close by again and the boys are loveing every minute of it! well that is about all for now, will update soon have to go to work today!!
